1、 Usage skills
(1) Daily operations
Manual operation
If it is a manual windproof roller blind, hold the joystick with both hands and shake it steadily and uniformly when pulling. Avoid applying too much force or too fast, as this may cause damage to the mechanical components of the roller blind, such as gear wear, chain detachment, etc. For example, during the descent of the roller blind, it is important to observe whether the roller blind descends smoothly. If you feel any lag, you should immediately stop the operation and check if there are any foreign objects blocking the track or the bottom of the roller blind.
Electric operation
For electric windproof roller blinds, ensure that the power connection is correct and stable before use. When operating through the remote control, it is necessary to operate within the effective signal range. Avoid using the remote control in environments with strong signal interference, such as near large electrical equipment or radio transmission towers. During the process of lifting and lowering the roller blind, do not forcefully pull the roller blind with your hands to avoid damaging the motor and transmission device. At the same time, it is important to be familiar with the various button functions on the remote control, such as pause, rise, fall, etc., in order to accurately control the position of the roller blind when needed.
(2) Use according to weather conditions
Windproof measures
When forecasting strong wind weather, fully lower the windproof roller shutter in advance. To ensure that the bottom of the roller blind is tightly attached to the ground, the sealing device at the bottom of the roller blind can be adjusted, such as increasing the pressure of the rubber sealing strip, to enhance the windproof effect. Some windproof roller blinds come with windproof locks or tensioning devices, which should be securely fastened during windy weather to allow the blinds to withstand stronger winds.
Rain and sun protection
When it rains, lowering the roller blind can prevent rainwater from splashing into the room. If the roller blind has waterproof function, pay attention to checking whether the waterproof coating is intact and repair the damaged waterproof layer in a timely manner. When the sunlight is strong, lowering some roller blinds can provide shade and insulation. According to the angle of sunlight exposure, adjust the position of the roller blind reasonably, so that the indoor environment can enjoy a moderate amount of natural light while avoiding high temperatures and UV damage caused by direct sunlight.
2、 Maintenance skills
(1) Cleaning
Regularly clean the surface
Every once in a while (recommended at least once a month), wipe the surface of the windproof roller blind with a soft damp cloth. For dust and stains, mild cleaning agents can be used for cleaning. Avoid using cleaning agents containing strong acidic and alkaline components to prevent corrosion of the rolling shutter material. During the cleaning process, attention should be paid to cleaning the edges on both sides of the roller blind and the tracks at the top and bottom, as these areas are prone to accumulating dirt and affecting the normal operation of the roller blind.
Clean the track
The track is the key to the smooth operation of windproof roller blinds. Use a small brush to clean the dust and debris inside the track, and then wipe the surface of the track with a clean damp cloth. If there are signs of rust on the track, a small amount of rust proof oil can be used for treatment, but care should be taken not to let the rust proof oil contaminate the rolling shutter material.

(2) Check the components
Mechanical component inspection
Regularly (once every quarter) inspect the mechanical components such as the rocker, gears, and chains of the manual roller shutter. Check if the joystick is loose and if the gears and chains are tightly engaged. For electric roller blinds, it is necessary to check whether the motor wiring is secure and whether there is any abnormal noise during motor operation. If signs of wear or damage are found on mechanical components, they should be replaced promptly.
Fabric inspection
Check if the fabric part of the windproof roller blind is damaged, torn, or faded. If small damages are found on the fabric, specialized fabric repair tools can be used for repair. If the damage is severe, the entire roller shutter fabric may need to be replaced. At the same time, checking the edges of the fabric for any loose threads and reinforcing the edges in a timely manner can extend the service life of the roller blind.
